Spotlight on: relaxed fit suits
Cut on our roomiest block for an eased-up take on tailoring.
DESIGNED FOR ROOMIER, EASYGOING WEAR
The last few years have seen tailoring move into more of a relaxed direction, with softer, roomier silhouettes gaining popularity. This new, more comfortable take allows you to take the suit out of the office and into more casual settings, granting room for more versatility around styling. Think open necked shirts, roll neck jumpers and patterned tees (though, a classic Oxford and knitted tie works a treat too).
See below for our take on the relaxed suit trend.
We’ve taken the classic double-breasted suit and loosened it up a bit, creating a slouchier profile with slightly dropped shoulders and a boxier fit through the torso. The trousers have been widened slightly, allowing for a straight drop that falls to puddle on your shoes. It’s our roomiest fit, cut generously for an overall looser look.
That doesn’t mean it can’t look smart, though – though relaxed fit suits are great for weekend wear, they can easily be styled for the office too. Create an overall laid-back aesthetic by combining with a Cuban collar and a pair of white trainers, or smarten it up by pairing with a striped linen shirt and polished shoes.
It’s a modern, easy take on the regular fit, so the styling options are truly endless.
Our relaxed fit suits come in three trending tones – port, copper and dusty pink. From chilled summer weddings to warm weekends with friends, they’ll be your go-to this season.
